Our Story

The beginning

The Loving Nature Founder and Workshop Area

The Loving Nature was born from our passion for all-natural skincare products and herbal remedies. Being aware of all the nasty and unnecessary chemicals present in our everyday skin and haircare care routine, we first formulated a natural deodorant. This immediately replaced the mainstream deodorant/antiperspirant used by our family members.

Our deodorant was so effective that we knew we were on to something special. With this success, we continued the learning process with enthusiasm and ambition. We have never stopped making and using all-natural products ever since, and we feel this is an excellent achievement for our family, with so many health benefits gained along the way.

Thanks to our family and friends, with their support and encouragement, it was clear that our hobby had to become a small business and share everything we created with everyone else. It all grew so fast that we understood we had to dedicate as much time and effort as possible to this project. Therefore, we decided to quit our regular jobs and use our knowledge, experience and passion to set everything up.

Moving forward

After months of creating and experimenting with multiple versions of products until they were just right and developing our brand and business, we opened our online shop in March 2017. Just one month later, in April 2017, we also had our first stockist – this great company in Pembrokeshire, Wales, founded by two amazing people who loved our products so much that they began stocking and selling them with success in their online shop.

The business grew so fast that we outgrown our lovely flat, and after a business trip to Wales, we decided to relocate to the amazing Pembrokeshire. Here, we have set up our workshop and office, giving us more space for the business. By the end of the year and throughout 2018, we had stockists across the United Kingdom and beyond, from South West Wales to the East of England and southwest London to the southern suburbs of Paris, and the list is ever-increasing.

Where we are today

We’re proud to work alongside great UK-based suppliers campaigning for healthy, humane, sustainable food, farming, and use. We carefully verify they are registered and certified by the competent authorities – The Leaping Bunny (Cruelty-Free), The Soil Association (Organic), and The Vegan Society (Vegan) and that the ingredients they sell are pure and unrefined.

Today our amazing customers and partners continue to sustain our growth, and we are truly grateful for their support and trust. We are also proud that we have adhered to our original mission – to make natural products without using any cheap synthetic ingredients – only nourishing, healthy and safe ingredients you and your loved ones can trust.

We will continue to pursue our mission without hesitating or compromising on quality. Our customers and the wonderful people around us who made The Loving Nature a reality deserve nothing less!

Our products

At The Loving Nature, we manufacture and sell 100% non-toxic, organic skincare products and all-natural remedies in plastic-free, eco-friendly packaging and wrapping. All our products are Certified and Fully Compliant with all UK and EU Cosmetics Regulations. They are freshly handmade in small batches using the best and purest ingredients.

We are entirely committed to healthy and happy people and a greener planet. As a result, all our products contain high concentrations of natural active ingredients. We use glass bottles and aluminium tins to preserve their integrity and as an eco-friendly and sustainable option. We avoid plastic as much as possible in our packaging and wrapping. Plastic is used only when it can’t be avoided to ensure that you get the best results possible (i.e. droppers). There are many obstacles and challenges for a small family business. Despite that, we promise to always look for better alternatives, and as we grow, we will continue to improve!

Our work

We love our work! Being a small family-run business, we accomplish all we do with a small but dedicated and passionate team. We’re meticulous in selecting suppliers, raw materials and packaging and always hands-on during the entire manufacturing process. Therefore, we consistently make high-quality and safe products for our customers. Read here what other people have to say about us.

Our good for the planet

We believe that every step, no matter how big or small, will benefit the world and can make a big difference for us and for future generations.

  1. Renewable energy – our workshop and office are powered by green energy from 100% renewable sources (wind/solar/hydro).

2. Sustainable packaging –  we replaced all our plastic jars with aluminium tins as an Eco-friendly and more sustainable option. We use glass bottles and avoid plastic as much as possible in our packaging. We are actively working on ways shoppers can buy one container and refill it repeatedly.

3. Minimising waste:

  • We reduced our postage footprint by reducing the size and the amount of packaging used to send items.
  • The corrugated cardboard we use provides padding/cushioning, is manufactured from recycled paper and is fully recyclable.
  • EcoFlo void fill is used when needed, made from starch in a single-stage process which is 100% compostable, biodegradable and fully soluble when immersed in water.
  • Plain brown paper is also used (from sustainable forestry sources) instead of plastic wrapping.
  • We send the orders in plastic-free padded envelopes, 100% biodegradable and recyclable or in recyclable green jiffy bags. These bags are a sustainable and eco-friendly alternative to plastic bubble wrapping.
  • We print on recycled paper that comes from post-consumer waste.
  • We only use plastic-free, eco-friendly paper tape.

4. Shipping & transport – we strive to use environmentally friendly delivery services. We use Royal Mail to send small parcels because they aim to switch to electric-powered vehicles by 2025 and have the lowest reported carbon emissions per parcel of any major UK delivery company. For large packages, we use DPD because they achieved 100% carbon neutral parcel delivery in 2012

5. Reducing fossil fuel use – we don’t drive to work and heat the working spaces with electrical heaters. We buy our ingredients and supplies in bulk, less frequently, to minimise trips and fuel use/emissions. ⁣
