I bought the sea buckthorn oil and can't work out how to apply it as it never seems so be absorbed by my skin. I have tried it on its own, with carrier oil, with moisturiser. I apply an hour before bed and it is still sitting on my skin. Sheets and pillowcases are stained.
Sea Buckthorn Oil is naturally very rich and deeply coloured. As you’ve already tried using a small amount, applying it before bed, and mixing it with moisturiser or a carrier oil, it may simply be too rich for your skin as an all-over facial oil. You may find it better used only on small dry areas, such as dry patches, hands, elbows or cuticles. For the face, a lighter option such as Rosehip Oil may suit you better, as it tends to feel less heavy and is less likely to transfer. - TLN Team
